The simple answer is that I found an old book on the subject of Chinese Occultism, the first part of which was devoted to Name Analysis.

However many of my clients enjoy learning about the complete version so here it is.

In 1984 I was taking a lady to dinner and when I arrived at her house she was about 30 minutes late!  I was asked if I wanted a coffee!, would I like a newspaper! and even if I would like a sandwich!  Naturally I declined all three and simply said that I would wait while she finished getting ready.

Her house featured one bedroom which had been converted into a library and the lady was in the process of reorganising this room and many of the books were being replaced. Those which were no longer required were in the hallway ready to go to various charity shops.

Whilst I was waiting I decided to read one of these books and on examining them I found a book which had no title on the spine. Being rather inquisitive I selected this book little realising that it was about to change my life.

The book was a mid Victorian private publication written by two ladies who had researched occult matters in China. They had discovered an ancient system (not numerology) which claimed that every persons Personality, Characteristics, Virtues, Vices and the Events in their life could be determined by a logical study of their full legal name.

Intrigued I calculated my name on the back of my cheque book - the only piece of paper which I had - and was amazed when this system revealed immediately why I was so different from both my brother and my sister.

When my date was ready I asked if I could buy the book and was told that I could have it but I insisted that she take some money for the charity it was going to.

I then spent the next five years researching various books and old documents testing the knowledge revealed in the book. This research expanded my understanding of Name Analysis and enabled me to bring this ancient system up to date, to re-write and confirm the personality definitions  and the rest as they say is history.
